We can't stop the world to improve. Technology is growing rapidly and you can't do anything about it. In 2008, I predict there will be more people who prefer to buy new laptops rather than people who want to buy new PCs. The reason is so simple. Those people want something more effective and obviously PC is not the answer. People are busy and we have heard that many successful businessmen work so hard. So if you want to be successful, what you need to do is to work hard. Now if you work hard every day, you'll spend less time in your home.
Because of this reason, laptops will be the right answer for busy people. If you travel a lot, definitely the only answer for you is a laptop computer. Can you imagine if you only have a PC and your boss tells you to go abroad? You can't finish your job if your data is on your PC and it will cost too much time if you don't have any laptops. But if you have a laptop, everything will be easier. It likes God has sent you a gift from heaven.
Five years ago, most computer manufacturers considered laptop as the second PC. Nowadays, the situation is different. You can easily find high-tech notebooks everywhere, from internet to small stores. Big companies realize laptop is a future computer for everyone because daily job consumes our time too much. The big difference between a PC and a laptop is the effectiveness. You can bring laptop everywhere but you can't put your PC inside your bag.
One other good thing: you can find many cheap notebooks everywhere. Acer, ASUS, Dell, etc. have been producing laptops for busy people recently. You can easily find brand new laptops which all have price tag under $2,000. If you ask me, 2008 will be the year of laptops. I think many people will convert their "religion" from personal computers to laptops. I mean those who are very busy with their life and spend less time in their home.
