Dell Inspiron 14 Review - A Good, Simple Laptop PC For Those on a Budget

The Dell Inspiron 14 is a portable PC built for those who want a basic laptop. It isn't the most powerfully built computer on the market, but it's still a good choice for those on a budget. Shoppers can customize this notebook to suit their needs and preferences. Coupons are available online for consumers who want to make their purchase at an internet computer store.

The default color for this machine is Obsidian Black, but shoppers can also choose any of the following: Cherry Red, Jade Green, Promise Pink, Passion Purple, Alpine White, and Ice Blue. Even though the Dell Inspiron 14 is made of plastic, it's still pretty durable. The keyboard is very solid, yet the keys are smooth and comfortable to the touch.

Here are the basic specs of this laptop:

· Intel Pentium Dual Core T4200 2GHz processor

· 3GB DDR2/ 800MHz memory

· 250G 5400 RPM SATA hard drive

· Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD

· 6-cell 48 WHr Lithium Ion battery

· 14" 720P widescreen WLED display

· Windows 7 Home Premium

· Dell Wireless 1397 802.11g

The Dell Inspiron 14 is ideal for students. It's not designed to be a performance power house, but rather a regular laptop that can handle basic tasks such as web browsing, playing 2D games, and sending emails. However, consumers can speed things up a bit if they upgrade to the fastest Core 2 Duo possible.

One great thing about this laptop is that it has a really nice display. The 720p, LED backlit screen displays crisp images and colors. Dell is also offering shoppers to choose a 900p screen upgrade, which makes the display even more bright and clear! The native resolution of the 720p screen is 1280x720, and 1440x900 for the 900p.

This computer is available with three battery options: 9-cell, 6-cell, and 4-cell. The more cells a laptop battery has more life. Of course, more money means more cells and weight. The 6-cell is the best option for most users, there's not much more does it weigh than the 4-cells and can take four hours or more. Many people who find the 9-cells to unnecessary costs.

Overall, Dell Inspiron 14 laptop is a budget that played up not being able, something that really is not. For its price, you can not really find anything wrong with it. Perhaps the only drawback is thatare no optical drive or HDMI/DVI ports. It's obviously not designed to be a multimedia hub, which makes it very affordable to students or regular PC users who are on a budget.
